The village of Kalidonia lies at the old road from Kissamos. At the village square are one or two cafenions; shopping facilities and taverns can be found in the villages of Kolimbari 4 km away or in Kissamos 8 km away.
It is an ideal spot to explore the western part of the island. Just before the village a road leads to the peninsula of Kissamos.
