From the village of Koleni, on the old road from Kolimbari to Kissamos, the village of Rokka can be reached after 8 km.
The village clings to the northwest side of a distinctive, rocky mountain (Trouli) facing the Gulf of Kissamos. The ancient settlement, however, lay on the southeast side facing away from the sea, very steeply and right above the almost vertical rock faces of the nearly 200 m deep Rokka Gorge.
The 1 km long gorge, less than 5 m wide, is rich in flora and fauna and extends to the villages of Astirakas and Deliana.
On the hill overlooking the village, there are ruins of a Venetian fort. A path leads to the top where one has a spectacular view and some remains of cisterns and buildings can be seen.
