The tiny village of Kaliviani is located at the beginning of the Kissamos is only 6 km to the west, where there are many shopping possibilities and taverns
There, where the way onto the peninsula starts, is the village cafenion with its seats under shady trees. Also there is a tavern in the village.
Kaliviani is an ideal starting point for walks on the peninsula and to Kissamos. One can also make nice excursions to the south western part of the island through the Kissamos to the beautiful beach of Kissamos.
Also worth a visit is ancient Kissamos, located ca 8 km above Kissamos as well as the neighbouring villages of Kissamos and Kissamos.
