The charming Diktamos Gorge runs through the foothills of the White Mountains from the village of Katochori to Stilos.
The huge plane trees, the tree roots and the rock formations of the gorge are remarkable.
At the beginning of the walk the way leads alongside the stream, then afterwards mainly through the bed of the stream in the ever deepening valley. At no point is the walk difficult, one just has to climb around a few boulders. The walk takes about 3 ½ hours.
In Stilos at the village square stands a Byzantine church. The cafenions and tavernas are inviting places to take a break.
