The village of Agios Konstantinos lies 18 km from Rethymnon just off the old Road to Chania and 1,5 km from the village of Roustika.
The village takes its name from the local church, which was built in 1315 and which is decorated with many frescoes.
Several villas and fine houses were built during the period when Agios Konstantinos served as a summer retreat for the Venetians nobles of Rethymnon.
The drinking fountain erected by the Barozzi family can still be seen a few metres to the east of the village.
The European hiking route E4 crosses the village.
