The village of Kastellos clings to a hillside and offers a beautiful view to the surrounding mountains, Episkopi and to the sea. It lies some 2 km from the village of Episkopi with some minimarkets and taverns, and 7 km from the nearest beach at Kavros / Episkopi.
The village street wends its way further upwards to the old village of Kastellos where about 20 people still live, a little further is the deserted village of Patima.
The Episkopi, the only sweet water lake on the island, is just after the village of Kournas. Also not far from Kastellos lies Episkopi, the antique Lappa, and a place well worth seeing.
