The Topolia Gorge south of Kissamos is impressive with its wild and rich vegetation. In the gorge there are many caves, the largest of which is the Agia Sophia cave where the chapel with the same name is built into the rock face.
Within a short distance from the village of Topolia to the south begins the gorge of the same name, which ends after 1,5 km at the village of Koutosmatado, starting point of various walks to Milia Settlement, Sassalo and Mouri.
